MISSISSAUGA, ON – Goldline Curling, the home of Hardline Curling, announced today the introduction of a new global athlete sponsorship framework for the 2026-27 season. Built on performance, transparency, and accessibility, the model creates a clear pathway for teams to earn meaningful support, while strengthening the broader support system around athletes through results at the sport’s highest levels.
Following the acquisition of Hardline, Goldline made a deliberate commitment to support the competitive curling community by honouring all existing athlete agreements, regardless of structure. The company is now introducing a sustainable, performance-driven model designed to mirror the structure of other leading sport systems, while continuing to support and give back to the curling community at every level.
“From day one, our priority has been to show up for this community, honouring commitments and supporting athletes across the board. This model allows us to build on that foundation in a way that’s sustainable, rewards performance, and continues to give back to the community that drives this sport,” said Erin Flowers, President of Goldline Curling.
A Merit-Based Roadmap
Under the new initiative, any team playing with Goldline or Hardline equipment, and free from conflicting brand endorsements, is eligible for performance earnings. Teams simply need to perform on the ice.
“As the sport reaches new heights, our support system needs to be just as dynamic as the athletes,” said Pete Townshend, CEO of Goldline Curling. “We are building a transparent, merit-based model where every team has the same opportunity to thrive. If you are winning with our equipment, we want to reward that success.”
Teams will trigger performance earnings by advancing to the playoff rounds at major designated events, specifically:
- The World Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships
- The Grand Slam of Curling
- The Scotties Tournament of Hearts
- The Montana’s Brier
- The Canadian Junior Curling Championships
“Success on the ice should lead to direct support off the ice,” added Andrew Brett, VP of Sales. “By opening up this program, we are leveling the playing field. Whether you are a veteran tour team winning a World Championship or a rising squad making your first national appearance, if you reach the weekend in our gear, you unlock the performance earnings.”
This unified model allows Goldline and Hardline to continue supporting a growing roster of global teams, providing the financial runway for dedicated athletes to compete at their absolute best.
Teams can register for the 2026-27 Performance System and finalize their brand alignment by filling in a sponsorship request at https://forms.gle/JSKYsKuGaiFoxwer5 in the coming weeks.
