FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mississauga, ON – July 4, 2025 – Goldline Curling, the leading global supplier of curling equipment and apparel, is proud to announce the acquisition of Hardline Curling, a company renowned for its cutting-edge broom technology and bold presence on the world stage.
This acquisition marks a major milestone for both companies, and for the sport of curling. By bringing together two of the most trusted brands in the game, Goldline reinforces its commitment to innovation, quality, and community, from grassroots clubs to the highest levels of international play.
“Hardline has made an indelible mark on the sport through innovation and grit,” said Pete Townshend, CEO of Goldline Curling. “We’re excited to carry forward their legacy and build on it. This move strengthens our ability to deliver the best equipment and service to curlers at every level.”
The integration of Hardline’s signature products, including the revolutionary IcePad broom, into Goldline’s lineup will expand product offerings while streamlining service and support. Goldline’s expertise, infrastructure, and passion ensure that Hardline’s spirit and product quality will not only be preserved, but elevated under this new stewardship.
“After years of building Hardline, it was important for us to find the right home, one that understands the curling community and can continue serving it with dedication and excellence,” said Archie Manavian, founder of Hardline. “Goldline is that home.”
With the completion of this acquisition, Hardline’s current management, Archie and Hratch Manavian, will be stepping away from the curling industry to pursue new ventures outside the sport. “We are incredibly grateful for the relationships, and friendships, that we’ve built with players, partners, and customers over the years,” said Hratch Manavian. “We’re proud of what we created with Hardline, and we look forward to staying in touch with the many friends we’ve made along the way.”
For those who wish to stay connected, Archie and Hratch can be reached at:
- Archie Manavian – archie.manavian@videotron.ca, 514-249-5258
- Hratch Manavian – hratch_manavian@hotmail.com, 514-208-5892
Operations in Montreal will be moved immediately to Goldline’s Mississauga location. This will result in a short disruption in order fulfillment, but Hardline customers, retailers, and sponsored teams can expect ongoing support and exciting new ways to engage with both brands.
This acquisition further positions Goldline as the go-to destination for elite and recreational curlers alike, reinforcing its mission to serve the curling community through innovation, performance, and partnership.

Will gold line move any manufacturing/production to Canada now that it has reduced competition in the curling market?
We’re always looking for ways to move manufacturing to Canada! ◡̈
Congratulations! Clayton & Maxine for Virden Sport & Fashion
As a small club we used to get a great deal on Hardline brooms, pants, gloves etc. I noticed the discount for wholesalers is not as much as before. Any reason why?
Hey Ross,
I’m surprised by your comments, because we put a lot of effort into making sure we honoured the same approximate discounts just with a slightly different structure that worked with our systems. If you’re seeing significantly different pricing from previous years, I would suggest connecting with Andrew, who is our VP of Sales, so he can review it directly. You can reach Andrew at andrew@goldlinecurling.com.
Regards,
Pete
